Garni Canyon and the Symphony of Stones Garni Canyon is one of the most amazing natural attractions in Armenia. Here you can see a unique wonder - a series of basalt columns called the Symphony of Stones. These hexagonal stone columns were formed thousands of years ago as a result of the cooling of lava, and in their shape resemble a huge musical instrument. This natural scene is combined with the flow of the Azat River, green vegetation and fresh mountain air, creating a harmonious environment for walking, photography and relaxation. The place is located only 1.5 km from the Garni Temple and is easily accessible both by car and on foot.
