This trail immerses you in the rich layers of Garni’s cultural heritage — from early Christianity to pre-Christian temple architecture. The journey begins at 9:00 AM from the Garni central square. Your first stop is Khumarjam Basilica (4th–5th c.), locally called the “Humble Church,” an exceptional early Christian architectural monument of Armenia. Next is Mashtots Hayrapet Church (12th–13th c.), named after Catholicos Mashtots Yegivardetsi. You’ll find medieval inscriptions, khachkars, and floral ornaments within its structure and courtyard. Then comes a natural marvel — the Symphony of Stones, a breathtaking wall of basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity.
