From Garni to Azat Gorge: our August 24th hike

On August 24, we set off from Garni on a hiking trip to our favorite heights and gorges. The road began from the Khumarhish side, from where we headed to the Mashtots Hayrapet Church. Walking among the ancient stones, we reached the Symphony of Stones. This amazing landscape always leaves a new impression. Here we took a short break, enjoying fresh coffee and tea. Then we tried the pleasure of horseback riding in that very area. The continuation of the road was in our Jeeps. We drove down the Azat Gorge to the Bardineri Park recreation area. Here we stopped, arranged delicious bread, sat in the lap of nature and had a good rest. Our adventure continued to the Azat Reservoir. Against the backdrop of the picturesque scenery, we lit a bonfire, enjoyed coffee and tea again, and in the evening we returned to Garni by Jeeps. This day was a truly adventurous and unforgettable experience, from hiking to horseback riding, from jeep tours to an evening spent around the fire.
